Vatan and Georgia:

    Vatan Koc, a native of Turkey, has been teaching and performing since 2000 in the United States. Georgia Ahrens, his wife and (one of his first students), has been his dance partner and co-teacher since 2004. Their teaching style emphasizes strong leading and following techniques and body mechanics. Their training, initially from Baila Tango - an international Argentine Tango organization, has been influenced by instruction from Caroline and Diego, Mariana Galassi, Guillarmina, Mariela Franganillo, Ney Melo, Facundo and Kely, Pablo Pugliese, Pablo Veron, Cecilia Gonzalez, Bulent and Marika and others.



    Georgia and Vatan regularly teach classes and workshops and bring internationally reknown tango dancers to the Central New York area. They are also the hosts of a large, monthly Latin Dance event in Syracuse called, “Latin Dance Night”.
