Summer Milonga plus Tango workshops
Date: Saturday June 7th, 2008
Place: Johnston's Bally Bay 550 Richmond Ave. Syracuse NY
Milonga with DJ Ira
9pm to 1am
Cost:$10.00 per person at the door. We look forward to a fun evening of dance, friends, and refreshments. Door prizes will be given throughout the evening.
Saturday Tango Workshops *(some tango experience required)
1pm-1:30pm Registration & Warm up
Workshop-With Vatan and Georgia
1:30pm – 3pm Dramatic stops and freezes
This workshop will teach a variety of dramatic stops and freezes to improve musicality. The freeze is an accentuated stop that helps express a break or instrumentation in the music. This is a fun concept to add to your tango dancing and it will create more “Kodak” moments on the dance floor.
Workshop-With Joaquin and Larissa
3:15pm – 4:45pm Volcadas
This workshop will teach volcadas, a very beautiful, off-axis step done in the close embrace. This versatile step can be done to any type of tango music. While enjoying “leaning on one another” you will begin to develop the precision and creativity that is necessary part of this step.

Limited number of private lessons are available, please call or email Vatan to make arrangements for either workshop instructors.
